Minutes

6/10/09

Present: Brownson Spencer, Carol Geery, Gale LiCausi, John Colvin, Dick Ley

Public: Bob LaFrancis. Elizabeth Teffner, Theodore Teffner, Steve Bernard

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.

The board conducted a site plan review for a replacement of a pylon by Mt. Mansfield TV

Inc. on an existing tower located on Paul Austin Road on Louella Austin property.

The proposed project will have no impact on the criteria addressed in a site plan and will

only replace at a lesser level. Brownson moved that we waive site visit and grant site

plan approval. Dick Ley seconded. Site plan approved unanimously.

The Board reviewed Wind and Hydro energy section of the Town Plan. The consensus

was that this section appears to indicate that small scale wind projects would be

compatible with the Town Plan while large scale commercial wind projects located on

ridgelines are not encouraged.

Bob LaFrancis presented a definition for building height that he recommended be

included in the zoning ordinances. He also suggested that the board clarify the distance

measurements for setbacks (fascia vs. foundation in the new zoning regs.)

this and the definitions and we will then be able to move on the new zoning regulations.

prepare for a public hearing. Next meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. Gale will post time

change.
